Further Key Information
If you are a retired Tameside police officer, staff member or spouse of a deceased member, rediscover your connections, join and engage with the Tameside branch of the National Association of Retired Police Officers. You dedicated your life to service, protection, and the community. Now, it's time to celebrate that shared experience and the unique bond that comes with it.
Reconnect with former colleagues and forge new friendships with others, who understand the unique challenges and triumphs of a police career. You will find a welcoming space for mutual support, advice, and shared memories. Looking out for each other is still very important to us. This includes being kept up-to-date with relevant pension news, welfare information, social events and any other relevant matters.
Your experience matters. As a group, we have a stronger voice on issues affecting retired officers. Allow your voice to be heard.
Your presence matters. Our group is only as strong as its participation, and your voice is vital. Branch meetings are not just about business, they are the heart of our social calendar. Being present and having the opportunity to be a voice helps to shape and influence the activities, welfare initiatives, and direction of the group. Enjoy every meeting or gathering as an opportunity to catch up, meet new and old friends, share your new and old experiences, and enjoy genuine friendship and support.
Our branch understands retirement can be busy, but attending just a few meetings or events a year makes a huge difference in maintaining our collective strength and vitality.
Our branch meetings are once a month with various other social events throughout the year.
