Vice President: John Russell

Having joined the Lancashire Constabulary in 1961 as a Police Cadet at Widnes, I was initially posted to uniform duties and later Crime patrol in Bury Division. I then became a FingerPrint and Photographic officer (SOCO) at Bolton. I transferred to Merseyside just prior to the amalgamation in 1974, serving at Southport,, Seaforth and St Helens.
On my retirement in 1996 I rejoined as a Civilian CSO, and later, admin duties until my `forced retirement at 65 ` in 2010.
I joined NARPO in 1996 and some time later became a member of the Committee, becoming Secretary in 2006. Retiring from those duties after 20 years.,
In that time we have created a Branch that is respected and envied by many..
I now take up the role of Vice President of the branch and will continue to deal with family liaison at times of bereavement.
